A note from our President

Hello!

I want to welcome everyone to a new season of GSHMM meetings and outings.   The new Board of Directors (BOD) officially began their new tenure on July 1 and we are busy with planning events for the upcoming year.  This plan and accompanying budget will be presented to the general membership during the business meeting in September.

The BOD wants to actively work with all members to continue to strive to be active, relevant, and a resource to not only our members but to our community.  We will be asking for assistance from you to help us become better.  This will range from asking input on monthly meeting topics, newsletter articles, helping out with golf outing, making new members or visitors to our monthly meetings feel welcome, volunteering to serve on BOD committees, and maybe to serve on next year’s BOD.

As the year goes along, you will be provided with these opportunities in emails, flyers, meeting announcements, and maybe a phone call.  I ask that each of us take the few minutes to ask what we can do to continue to make this organization better.

Thanks and I look forward to seeing you.

Mary Juan, CHMM
